The game
wordghoti.com is a word game played for fun. It is free to play. We may change, pause or end the game or any part of it, and the puzzles are ours to choose.
The Fishing contest
The contest gives everyone one free entry a day. Your score is what our server counted within the minute. The Weekly Top lists every player with an account, under their name.
Your name and profile
With an account you have a name other players see, on the Weekly Top, on bottles you send and on your profile, which anyone can open. It starts as your first name and the first letter of your last name, and you can change it at any time. Don't choose one that is offensive, pretends to be someone else, or advertises anything; we refuse some names outright, anyone can report a name from its profile, and we may change a name without notice.
Messages in a bottle
With an account you can send one message in a bottle a day: a word you chose, spelled your own way, behind a link. Every bottle is public: anyone with the link can play it, its page shows how everyone who opened it did, and once it is liked it can appear on the Top bottles boards, by its number and never its word. With an account you can like a bottle you have played. Don't send a word or a spelling that is offensive or meant to harass someone; we refuse some words outright, you can report a bottle from its page, and we may remove a bottle without notice. A bottle lasts as long as the account that sent it: deleting the account deletes its bottles and every game played of them.
Your account
An account is optional, and you make one by signing in with Google. You are responsible for what is done with your account. You can delete it at any time from the account menu.
Fair play
Don't attack, overload or scrape the site, get around its limits, or use it to harm anyone. We may close an account that does.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using it [LIABILITY CAP AND GOVERNING LAW — Kevin to fill].
Changes
When these terms change, the effective date above changes with them. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the new terms.
